Andrew Byers, Attorney and Counselor at law

Andrew Byers, Attorney and Counselor at law

Andrew Byers' elder law practice focuses on the legal needs of older clients and their families, and works with a variety of legal tools and techniques to meet the goals and objectives of the older client. Under this holistic approach, I handle estate and longevity planning issues and counsel clients about planning for incapacity with alternative decision making documents. I also assist clients and their families in planning for possible long-term care needs, including nursing home care. Locating the appropriate type of care, coordinating private and public resources to finance the cost of care, and working to ensure the client's right to quality care are all part of our elder

 law practice.

Andrew regularly speaks to the public on elder law and estate planning while also presenting continuing education lectures to the elder medical community, certified public accountants, and financial advisors. Andrew maintains the highest level of knowledge and expertise through ongoing continuing education and frequent attendance at nationally recognized conferences on estate planning topics.

Whether you are planning ahead or are in the middle of a difficult situation, I can advise you on Medicare, Medicaid, the veteran's Aid and Attendance benefit, asset and income planning for the community spouse, the preservation of assets, and how to get good care.
